Who Is Your God?
Most people get angry when they receive this issue. "What do you mean, 'Who is your God?' they ask, 'My God is the Creator of the heavensand the earth.' "And most of these people will be shocked when they discover that their opinion that their god is the Creator of the heavens and the earth is no more than empty talk, and that in fact they are going to Hell (12:106).
Your god is whoever or whatever occupies your mind most of the time.
Your god may be your children (7:190), your wife / husband (9:24), your business (18:35), your ego (25:34). That is why we notice that one of the most important and most repeatedcommandments in the Quran are:
O you who believe, you shall remember God frequently; glorify Him day and night. (33:41)
To begin the practice of this commandment, we must establish certain habits, which we guarantee that God occupies our minds more than anything else. Quran helps us to establish those habits that save our souls:
1st Contact Prayers ( Salat ): those who observe the five daily prayers have come a long way towards commemorating God most of their waking hours. Salat helps us to remember God not only during the few minutes of prayer, but also during the time of inväntan. At 11 o'clock in the morning, maybeyou look at the clock to see if the time has come for prayer at noon. This action makes you think of God, and you get credit then (20:14).
2nd Commemorate God before eating : Verse 6:121 enjoins us to mention the name of God before we eat, "Ye shall not eat from that upon which GOD's name has not been mentioned.
third God willing (IN SHAA ALLAH): "You shall not say, 'I will do this or that tomorrow,' without saying 'God willing' (IN SHAA ALLAH). If you forget to do it, then ask for pardon andsay, 'May my Lord guide me to do better next time.' "(18:24). This is a direct commandment that we must pursue, no matter who we're talking to.
4th God's Gift (MAA SHAA ALLAH): In order to invoke God's protection over our beloved objects - our children, our cars, our homes, etc. - requires us in 18:39 says "MAA SHAA ALLAH" (This is God's gift).
5th Praise God day and night : When we eat something we should not be like the animals, we must reflect on God's creation of the food we eat - taste , our enjoyment because of the senses that God has given us the perfect package of banana or orange varieties of seafood that was created by God, etc. - and praise Him as we enjoy His gifts. When we seea beautiful flower or an animal, or a sunset, we must praise God. We need to capture all possible options to remember and praise God, so that God may be our God.
6th First statement : Make it a habit to say: "Inthe name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. There is no god than God, "the moment you wake up in the morning. If you establish this good habit, is it what you will say when you are revived.
