How The Quran Corrects The Bible (Collective Punishment) Errancy: God does not punish the children for the sins of the parents: The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. (Ezekiel 18:20) VS "The Inquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations" You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, (Exodus 20:5) Also note that God is a jealous God (Astaghfirullah ) Excuse: Guilt is not passed on but consequences are. Rebuttal: First (Ezekiel 18:20) does not differentiate between guilt or consequence, only inequity and rightousness. Second, guitl in many casesis as bad or worse than consequences, for example Edgar Allens Poe's story "The Tell TaleHeart". Third, many other verses from the Bible does not differentiate with which aspectof sin is not passed; (Jeremiah 31:30), (Psalms49:7) and (Deuteronomy 24:16) CORRECTION: God only punishes those who are transgressors and disbelievers. In contrast to the Bible God does no collectively punish in the Quran: Whoever goes right, then he goes right only for the benefit of his ownself. And whoever goes astray, then he goes astray to his own loss. No one laden with burdens can bear another's burden. And We never punish until We have sent a Messenger (to give warning).
